For a long time, I couldn’t listen to (any version of) this song without tears welling up when he’d sing “So I could be the boy you couldn’t be” (14:51). I don’t care what you think about this band. Some songs just hit harder than others.

It wasn’t until two years ago that I could count the total number of times I’ve seen my father on two hands. And it’s the fourth Father’s Day I’ve spent without my grandfather, who raised me as his own son. I miss them both the same.
